Baryn Futa: Championing Arts Funding and Contemporary Art Collection
The world of art funding is unfortunately a relatively small one. True patrons of the arts exist in small numbers, despite the importance of art to every culture in existence. Baryn Futa is one man who has taken the dearth of support of art as a challenge. He wishes to expand the general public’s awareness of, and appreciation for, art of all kinds. He puts his money and his time behind this idea, too, by serving on committees and donating pieces of art to various exhibitions and museums all over the country.
You would be hard pressed to find someone who is more interested in promoting the arts than Baryn Futa. He has dedicated himself to promotion of the arts in any way that he can. Baryn Futa has cultivated a love for the arts generally and for the contemporary arts specifically. He is today not only a highly recognized art patron, but an art collector too, particularly of contemporary pieces.
Baryn Futa did not discover his love for the arts until after he retired. It was then that he found out how much he appreciated art. He soon found that he wanted to learn to appreciate the arts more fully. This realization led him to purposefully cultivating his love for the arts, first by participating in the Denver Art Museum, which introduced him to a more formal setting for the arts. However, he soon set about trying to learn more about the world of fine arts appreciation. He saw the value in supporting the arts, but he wanted to know more about art itself. He took art history classes, both online and in real brick-and-mortar classrooms. He also visited art museums, went to art fairs, and began collecting art personally. Today Baryn Futa loans out pieces from his art collection to museums and exhibitions. He is a member of some of the most well known art museums in the United States.
